MP Larry Maguire

Toronto Canada [ZNN] ZlandCommunications has learned that Canadian member of Parliament Larry Maguire (Brandon—Souris, Manitoba) addressed a special session of the SOL Foundation symposium at Stanford University on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) on February 12, 2024.

Maguire is the first sitting Canadian MP to speak about the UAP issue beyond Canadian borders.

ABOUT SOL
The Stanford University SOL Foundation organization is dedicated to cutting-edge academic research into the nature of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and their broad cosmological and political implications. The Foundation’s message of increased transparency and disclosure surrounding UAP information and regulation was a defining theme of the symposium.

BACKGROUND ON MP MAGUIRE'S INVOLVEMENT WITH UAP

There is no doubt that the recent tumult within the U.S. Congress and Senate over UAP has now extended itself north of the 49th parallel.

Because of this tumult, it was not by coincidence that a Canadian MP has become involved.

MP Maguire was called upon to address the SOL Foundation's members. This is not MP Maguire's first exploration into the UAP matter. His involvement dates back to February of 2021 and perhaps earlier.

ZlandCommunications learned that on March 2 of 2022, MP Maguire asked questions about unidentified aerial phenomena and the security of Canadian nuclear facilities during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources in the House of Commons in Ottawa Canada.

At the time, MP Maguire was Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources. His questions were directed to John F. G. Hannaford, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Canada.

The Deputy Minister was unable to answer any of MP Maguire's questions about unidentified aerial phenomena over Canadian nuclear facilities.

MP Maguire also asked Deputy Minister Hannaford if he was aware of the recent passage of legislation concerning Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon over American nuclear military installations. The Deputy Minister replied he was unaware of the U.S. legislation.

MP Maguire also asked the Deputy Minister if "violations in and around nuclear facilities [were] publicly disclosed." The Deputy Minister was again unable to answer Maguire's question.

MORE LETTERS BY MP MAGUIRE TO THE CANADIAN CABINET ON UAP

It is more than evident that MP Larry Maguire has been very active in communicating by letters in 2022 and 2023 to members of the Canadian Cabinet on the matter of UAP.

These Cabinet members include then Minister of Defence Anita Anand and former Deputy Minister of Public Safety and National Security John Hannaford

Background material including a March 4, 2022 letter from MP Maguire to Deputy Minister John Hannaford is shown below.

Also below is a shocking March 2023 letter from Larry Maguire to then Canadian Minister of Defence Anita Ananda. The letter expresses his serious concerns about Defence and Research Development Canada being in possession of recovered UAP material is available below.

BRIEFINGS WITH U.S. OFFICIAL ON UAP

Luis Elizondo
In February of 2021 MP Maguire's office arranged a briefing for Mr. Maguire with former U.S. counterintelligence officer Luis Elizondo

Elizondo was the Director of AATIP - the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program that ran in secret in the C-Ring of the Pentagon from 2007 to 2012.

Elizondo, as reported in the Washington Post, stated, "Our mission was to conduct scientific-based, intelligence investigations of incursions by Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) into controlled U.S. airspace."

CTV INTERVIEWS MP LARRY MAGUIRE

As an indication of how serious MP Maguire is about this issue, he quite plainly stated how little discourse there is about the UAP issue in Canada and the need to investigate.

A May 18, 2022 interview by CTV's Joy Malbon with MP Maguire can be viewed here.

OTHER EVENTS FOR THE RECORD

ZlandCommunications, in multiple conversations with MP Maguire's office, has established that Maguire remains dedicated to explore and expose the UAP issue in Canada.

It should also be again noted that MP Maguire is the first sitting member of Canadian Parliament to venture outside Canada to address an audience on the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.

At this juncture, three other prominent members of the Canadian Parliament have made public statements on UAP transparency: MP Raquel Dancho (St. Paul Manitoba), MP Matthew Green (Hamilton Ontario) and MP James Bezan (Selkirk Manitoba).

ZNN has also learned that former Minister of Defence Harjit Sajjan was briefed by U.S. officials on the UAP matter.

The Hon. Paul T. Hellyer
Other than multiple addresses about UAP made by former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Minister of Defence - the Hon. Paul T. Hellyer, no other sitting member of Canadian Parliament has ever addressed any organization on UAP - until now.

Mr. Maguire is in good company.

QUESTIONS THAT REMAIN

  • In the backrooms of Parliament - do MP Maguire's caucus colleagues take him seriously?
  • How might MP Maguire use Senator Chuck Schumer's model of legislation passed into law by President Biden to leverage the introduction of Canadian legislation?
  • Will MP Maguire use Parliamentary procedures including Question Period to raise the UAP issue on the floor of the Canadian House of Commons?
  • Will MP Maguire solicit cooperation from other MPs including MPs Dancho, Green and Bezan to support more Canadian government discourse and UAP legislation?
  • Will MP Maguire begin a witness/whistleblower initiative in Canada?
  • Might MP Maguire consider moving beyond his address at Stanford to other academic venues and journalism schools in Canada such as McGill University, the University of Toronto, Toronto Metropolitan University, the University of Ottawa and the Canadian Association of Journalists?
  • If the UAP issue is as prescient and visionary as MP Maguire believes it is, will he mobilize a citizen disclosure movement in Canada?

THE LAG ON THE JOURNALISM FRONT

It should be noted that Canadian media outlets and newsprint editions have all but ignored the UAP matter.

However CTV, Canada's second largest media network remains the only Canadian news outlet to provide in-depth and on-going coverage of the UAP issue - both in Canada and the U.S.

This lag in coverage by other Canadian news media of an issue of intense global significance is journalistically irresponsible and indeed regrettable.

For example - ZlandCommunications is the only Canadian news service to cover the European Parliament's special session on UAP. No other Canadian news outlet appears aware that this event ever occurred.

ZlandCommunications has been covering the UAP issue since August of 2009 and has access to:

  • Virtually all global UAP organizations,
  • Prominent UAP researchers and activists in over 25 countries,
  • Public interest solicitors working with U.S. Senate staff offices that are attempting to bring forward more refined UAP legislation and legal support for witnesses and whistleblowers.
