Press Release July 10, 2025

UK Sets Stage for UFO Hearings as Canada Launches a Citizens-Driven Disclosure Campaign

For Immediate Distribution

[Toronto, Canada July 10, 2025] - In a significant development reflecting the expanding geopolitical focus on UFO investigations, the United Kingdom has announced its intention to hold public hearings allowing Royal Air Force, Army, and Navy whistleblowers to testify about their encounters with unidentified aerial phenomena.

A new “US‑style” public hearing process is being organized in the UK, spearheaded by a documentary filmmaker working with MPs and House of Lords ministers. The format will allow RAF, Army, and Navy whistleblowers to testify about their UFO encounters—without fear of NDA or public mockery. There's even talk of forming a select committee to take evidence under oath, mirroring similar processes in the U.S.

Why it matters:

  • Establishes a formal mechanism for military testimony, exposing previously suppressed accounts.

  • Moves the UFO/UAP issue from fringe to legitimate government inquiry.

  • Has support at high levels—rumours persist UK Prime Minster, Keir Starmer and even King Charles III have been briefed.

This UK briefing initiative follows similar hearings in the United States Congress, which have resulted in the release of previously classified documents detailing close encounters between military personnel and unidentified craft.

Advocates in the UK emphasize the importance of creating a safe environment for whistleblowers—free from ridicule or professional risk—as they come forward with potentially vital testimony. [Source]

The timing of Britain's move aligns with a broader wave of international disclosure efforts.

Countries such as the United States, Brazil, and now Canada have already taken steps toward increased UAP transparency.

For many observers and researchers, this marks a pivotal juncture in global cooperation on a mystery that has long transcended national borders and now into Canada.

Canadians for Disclosure: Advocating for Government Transparency on UFOs

Canadians for Disclosure is an elite, citizen-led organization founded by disclosure advocates Craig WhittonCate Chassé, and Victor Viggiani

The group has quickly gained momentum, bringing together 84 dedicated disclosure advocates from across Canada

Their mission is clear: engage Members of the Canadian Parliament (MPs) in a serious dialogue about Canada’s historically long-standing, yet under-acknowledged, involvement in the UFO phenomenon.

As stated by Victor Viggiani, Director of Canadians for Disclosure:

“Although a government-funded study on UFOs — the Sky Canada Project — was released in January 2025, it appears that no Canadian Member of Parliament is even aware of its existence. Moreover, Parliament remains uninformed about the more than 9,500 UFO-related documents that have been archived on the Library and Archives Canada website for over a decade.”

Viggiani emphasized that this lack of awareness among elected officials represents more than a bureaucratic oversight — it's a troubling signal:

“This dearth of awareness about an issue so clearly tied to national security and the public's right to know is not only disturbing, but suggests a deeper unwillingness by the Canadian government to challenge the dominance the United States exerts in maintaining UFO secrecy.”

He further revealed new international dimensions to Canada’s involvement:

“Adding to this opaque situation, the CBC reported the Canadian government's participation  in a U.S. Pentagon lead briefing on UFOs in May of 2023. Unnamed Canadian officials from the Department of National Defence attended this classified Five Eyes Intelligence briefing. There, representatives from Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom were informed about global UFO-related developments. Yet to this day, the contents of the classified briefing has not been discussed on the floor of the House of Commons or made available to the Canadian public.”

Canadians for Disclosure continues to call for open dialogue, transparency, and accountability. The group urges both citizens and lawmakers to demand full disclosure of Canada's UFO research and involvement — past and present.

More Background

Canada is seeing growing grassroots momentum:

A 2024 Parliamentary “Citizens Petition” (Petition e‑5178) backed by former MP Larry Maguire proposed:

  • A national UAP task force
  • Centralized public reporting of sightings,
  • In Canadian government spheres, NORAD, Royal Canadian Air Force, and Intelligence Command are actively involved in UAP consultations as stated in Five Eyes caucus meeting in May 2023.

This is an exciting time for UFO transparency in Canada. Canadians for Disclosure - a first-time-ever grassroots activist group in Canada is now hoping to run parallel to formal parliamentary scrutiny in the UK.
