U. S. and Canadian Navies entered Canadian waters under NATO Command in search of UFO
A ZNN REPORT
JANUARY 25, 2026
Toronto [ZNN] The Shag Harbour UFO Incident is one of Canada’s most famous unsolved mysteries. Far less known—but no less compelling—is the Shelburne Harbour Incident. Together, they form a story marked by controversy, unanswered questions, and decades of quiet denial.
ZNN won’t add another layer of speculation. Instead, we go straight to the source—Chris Styles, the researcher who has spent decades uncovering what really happened in the waters off Nova Scotia.
In April 2022, my good friend Richard Syrett—an incisive broadcaster and longtime colleague—interviewed Chris Styles. It was a conversation years in the making.
What Chris Styles presented wasn’t speculation. It was evidence: military documents, first-hand witness testimony, and facts buried well beyond public view.
- Contrary to public perception, as Mr. Styles clearly points out, there is a significant difference between the October 4 1967 Shag Harbour incident and the one that occurred at Shelburne Harbour October 12, 1960, some 7 years earlier!
- The response to these incidents was not routine. It was extreme.
- Both the U.S. and Canadian navies—18 vessels in total, supported by divers—entered Canadian waters under NATO command.
- Officials assumed a DEFCON 1 military posture [Defense Readiness Condition]—the highest possible state of readiness—for something on the Shelburne Harbour seabed.
- That “something” was not just an object. It was a craft. And it was not unoccupied.
- Military divers filmed the event.
This is not wild speculation or folklore. It is documented fact, corroborated by witnesses, naval personnel, and government records. And yet—it was buried. Shoved aside. Disguised as just another Cold War exercise.
For decades, the narrative has been controlled, minimized and ridiculed. But Chris Styles has done what few others have the persistence—or the courage—to do: he has dragged the truth back into the light.
The Shag Harbour case is often called “the world’s only government-documented UFO crash.” Think about that. And then ask yourself: why have the Shag Harbour and Shelburne UFO incidents been ignored, diminished, and locked away from public view?
The Canadian government's Omission
In stark contrast, ZNN’s research reveals that the Canadian government’s Sky Canada Project report sidesteps the documented facts surrounding both UFO incidents.
Shag Harbour is mentioned only in passing, stripped of context, with no reference to the active involvement of U.S. and Canadian naval forces—an omission that fundamentally alters the public understanding of what occurred.
For Canadian citizens and specifically the Canadian government, the Shag Harbour and Shelburne UFO incidents as revealed in the podcast below and in the book by Chris Styles - Dark Object - mark a day of reckoning.
Our conclusion? The truth resides in this day of reckoning.
The question is: Are we finally ready to face it?
If readers are truly interested in the nuances of this revelatory information, we urge you to listen to Richard Syrett and Chris Styles as they unravel this astounding story. You will hear evidence of a cover-up so profound, it makes Roswell look like a rehearsal.
