Subject: Request for Parliamentary Attention to the UAP Issue

Dear [MP’s Name],

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing as a concerned Canadian citizen to respectfully request your attention to an issue that is rapidly gaining credibility and urgency in both international and domestic contexts: Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs.

Why This Matters Now

Recent developments in the United States — including Congressional hearingswhistleblower testimony under oath, and the establishment of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) — signal a dramatic shift in how UAPs are perceived. Once relegated to the fringe, this subject is now being treated as a legitimate matter of national security, scientific inquiry, and public transparency.

In 2023, former U.S. intelligence official David Grusch testified before Congress, asserting that the U.S. government possesses "non-human biologics" and has operated secret crash retrieval programs.

These are extraordinary claims, but they have been delivered under oath and in accordance with whistleblower protections. Importantly, multiple lawmakers — from both U.S. parties — are now pushing for deeper investigation and public disclosure.

Canada Has a Role — and a long UFO History

Canada is not new to this conversation. In fact, we have a robust, documented history of UAP encounters, some of which remain unexplained to this day. Notable examples include:

  • The 1967 Falcon Lake Incident (Manitoba) – Investigated by both the RCMP and the U.S. Air Force, this remains one of North America's best-documented UAP encounters.

  • The 1967 Shag Harbour Incident (Nova Scotia) – A submerged craft reported by multiple credible witnesses, including RCMP officers and fishermen, and investigated by the Canadian military and Department of National Defence. For the first time in North American history a U.S. Navy ship monitoring the submerged craft issued a DEFCON 1 warning.

  • RCMP, Transport Canada, and NAV CANADA Reports – To this day, these agencies continue to log reports of anomalous aerial phenomena — including those tracked by radar and confirmed by pilots.

Canada’s archives include thousands of UAP reports, and yet public awareness and political engagement remain minimal. Meanwhile, other G7 countries — including France, Japan, and the United States — are taking active steps to investigate these phenomena seriously.

A Call for Parliamentary Action

I urge you, as my representative in Parliament, to support or initiate efforts that:

  1. Acknowledge the validity and public interest in the UAP issue.

  2. Request briefings from Canadian intelligence and aviation agencies on UAP-related incidents.

  3. Consider establishing a Parliamentary committee or working group to examine the historical and current data.

  4. Coordinate with international allies to understand how Canada can contribute to a transparent, science-based approach to this global issue.

This is not about speculation or sensationalism. It is about government accountability, aviation safety, military readiness, and scientific curiosity. At a time when public trust in institutions is under strain, engaging openly with the UAP topic represents a rare opportunity for Parliament to lead with transparency and integrity.

Thank you for your service and for taking this issue under thoughtful consideration.

I look forward to your response and plan of action.

Sincerely,

  1. This letter could be your opportunity to be part of a growing cross Canada movement to alert MPs to the authentic nature of Canada’s prior history in the matter of UFOs. Readers are encouraged to assembly a letter - send it and follow it up. If we don’t do this - nobody else will.
