What has the Toronto Star done?
The Toronto Star, with a global footprint rivalling that of the NY Times and Washington Post both online and in print circulation - has been a dominant force in Canadian journalism and politics since 1892 - injecting itself into prominence in matters of social justice and civil engagement. A new cause may be on its horizon.
In the last several months the Toronto Star has covered the UFO issue in seven separate articles. These articles by Star reporters and from other syndications, including the Star's Washington DC bureau - have dealt with the UFO matter in a straightforward manner while leaving behind the traditional 'ridicule' that has characterized media coverage in the past.
What has the CBC done?
Not only has Canada's leading newspaper determined that the UFO issue has traction among readers, the CBC Radio national news network has also made a similar determination.
The Power of Corporate Journalism
These determinations by two of Canada's most read and listened to news media outlets create a serious journalistic platform upon which the public can base informed conclusions and questions about a matter that has been largely ignored by corporate media - are we alone in the cosmos?
Not only does coverage of this nature spark interest among the general public - this ongoing coverage by the Star and the CBC is raising the bar for a broader discussion about government secrecy and its well-documented and decades-long involvement in the UFO matter.
Corporate media may or may not fully realize the political significance of the UFO matter - yet. But one thing is certain - government secrecy concerning UFO's has never been a major item of media coverage - until now.
The UFO matter appears to have received the imprimatur of publishers and editors who may further decide to attack this issue politically from within a corporate agenda in Canada.
With a new generation of followers that include 4,619,000 monthly readers on their mobile devices, 2,061,000 on desktop computers and 839,000 on tablets, the prescient nature of this issue will soon become a topic of conversation about the authenticity of the UFO phenomenon and when its ultimate disclosure to the public will occur.
